Dr. Michael Kessler
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Kessler is Licensed Clinical Psychologist with areas of expertise involving therapy and psychological testing and evaluation. His clinical focus tends to be with teenagers to geriatric populations of all backgrounds. When providing therapy, he has an eclectic approach and leans heavily on health and wellness, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Person-Centered frameworks. He can assess for a variety of issues including mood and behavioral struggles, neuropsychological/memory and attention (AD/HD) issues, high school and college academic struggles that may warrant accommodations, pre-surgical/pre-medical intervention evaluations, FOID card evaluations, and more. In addition, Dr. Kessler conducts compensation and pension examinations with veterans of the armed forces of the United States.
Dr. Kessler’s background includes work in hospitals, universities, prison, and private practice. Dr. Kessler received his pre-doctoral training at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. He holds a Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology and Masters of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University, and a Masters of Science (MS) in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Alliant International University - California School of Professional Psychology. He began his educational background by completing a Bachelors of Arts (BA) in Biology and Psychology at Greenville College.
