Anne McFarland
Clinical Intern
I am a counseling intern currently pursuing my degree in the Human Development Counseling Program at the University of Illinois Springfield, where I am developing expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices. I provide counseling services at Pepper Brown and Associates in Springfield, Illinois, under the clinical supervision of Tracy Howland, LCPC.
My practice focuses primarily on supporting adults navigating various life transitions and challenges, though I welcome the opportunity to work with clients across the lifespan. I integrate a trauma-informed approach into my work, recognizing the impact that past experiences can have on current well-being and relationships.
Central to my therapeutic philosophy is the creation of an authentic, compassionate alliance with each client. I believe the counseling space should be one where you feel safe to explore your genuine thoughts and feelings without judgment. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where you can develop insights, build on your existing strengths, and work toward meaningful change.
I am committed to meeting each client where they are in their journey and tailoring my approach to best serve their individual needs and goals. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
